Saddleco Flow -- Cool Saddle

| | Comments (2)
SaddleCo. Hat tip to "Road Bike Rider":http://roadbikerider.com on this one. Very cool looking saddle. Have you seen the innovative Flow saddle at www.saddleco.com? It has intrigued a number of roadies, and they've asked us to review it. The Flow has a see-through mesh top stretched across a nylon perimeter. It promises comfort, lightness, airflow and cool looks. Pretty cool looking. Great lust factor.

"The Flow has a see-through mesh top stretched across a nylon perimeter. It promises comfort, lightness, airflow and cool looks." Who out there considers 290g's "lightness"? Maybe i am just a weight weenie, but that is about 160g's too much for a saddle. I bet you wont be seeing this saddle on any 16 lb bikes.

Great point. I had not realized how "heavy" it is. Of course, I use a 135 gram Selle Italia SLR, so I'm hardly one to talk. There are quite a few saddles out now that are 130 grams.

On the other hand, I clipped this out of roadbikerider.com and they specialize in really long distance where they use much heavier and more comfort oriented equipment.
