Reviewmakers.com – VIA Promise Raid Performance Patch Effectiveness. Here is a note on VIA and Promise RAID performanceproblems. It appears that Promise doesn’t like the VIA chipset. There is a fix, but only for later chipsets that a 266MHz DDR. I have a Apollo Pro133a, so this doesn’t help me I don’t think.
