I’ve been using v2.70 for a while, but it doesn’t work with the more advanced encryption schemes. In particularly, it really only works with WEP 128 bit. However, there have been some releases since then so that now with “2.75”:http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,16808179~mode=flat I’ve been able to get WPA with AES working. This is all greek to many folks, but what it means is that the network is way more secure since WEP < WPA < WPA2 and TKIP < AES, so the most advanced encryption is WPA and AES. Also in this release, you have to set an NTP server so it always knows the correct time "us.pool.ntp.org":http://ntp.org is the place to enter for that. It also asks about Daylight Saving Time, which begins first week of April this year, but starting in 2007, it begins first week of March and it ends last week of October. And there is something called the D-link Connection Monitor that lets you know how your router is doing that someone at "DSLReports":http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,12608281 cookedup. By the way, if you are interested in how fast routers have gotten over the last three years, "broadbandhomecentral.com":http://www.broadbandhomecentral.com/bbhl/wifi.html has a good set of speed tests for over the internet, I'm getting about 2MBps typically which is pretty amazing. "Sissoftware Sandra Lite":http://files.extremeoverclocking.com/file.php?f=75 is what I use to test within a network. This new 2007 version is great. For instance, over the wired 100Mbps network, I'm getting 10MBps based on its ping test and on the 54Mbps 802.11g network, I'm getting 3.3MBps which is about what you'd expect sine the 54Mbps really refers to 26Mbps up and 26Mbps downstream.
