Hey watch out, I haven’t used the superdrive much, but when I left a DVD in there and on the airplane tried to play it, the DVD just grinded and stuck. I shook it like crazy, but it wasn’t till I got home that the drive seemed to actually start. Really recommend that you don’t leave a DVD in there. Since there is no eject or reset at all, most folks just say return to Apple on a jam. There is trick where if you hold the mouse button down during boot, it is supposed to “soft eject”:http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1425284&tstart=30 but lots of people just seem to lose the DVD in there and there is no way to get it out. How sad!
