High end hotpot

If you want to party like it is 1999 then in xintiandi the imaginatively named Good Hot Pot place is pretty cool. You don’t even need to swish your meat. A server does it for you. They hand slice the beef at your table. And the shrimp and fish are as fresh a you can get.

Plus I love the double broths. You can get the base soup of both mild and hot. It’s called the di tang or under soup.

And it isn’t steamy hot because they use magnetic resonance heating. Pricey at $50 per head if get the top end shrimp, fish, etc. But a great place to take parents.

The soup at the end is delicious.
