Beyonce (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVTyLqkez6A) talks about the same thing in a derogatory way as guys protecting each other.

I don’t know, I’d say, guys really don’t talk much to each other. Most nights after a long day, it is good night, see in the morning for a meeting. But sometimes it isn’t until 2:30AM with enough Chardonnay and Tanqueray, you learn the truth about people and you see if in yourself. Life even in the most normal kind of relationship is enormously complicated I’m realizing.
