Well the cheapest blu ray player in some ways is the Sony Playstation 3. You get for $250 a Blu Ray player with 3-D plus games. But if you just want a simple player, both wirecutter.com and hometheatermag.com agree that the Panasonic DMP-BDT220 is the best. It has Bluray, does 2D to 3D conversion. What a good thing. At $140 list not bad or if you just want a high quality but basic model then the $90 Sony BDP-S390.
Best Buy had the thing for $120 on sale and it isn’t bad. The user interface is nearly usable. It has Netflix (like just about everything else) and has an Ethernet connection so you can do BD Live (if you care about that) too.
