a little ludwig goes a long way: Scott Hanselman’s Utility List. Cool utilities per Ludwig. Ones I liked include:
* “Xenu”:http://home.snafu.de/tilman/xenulink.html. Link checker that is pretty cool and works really fast. Nice for checking my blog.
* “Command Bar”:http://www.codeproject.com/csharp/CommandBar.asp. A cool utility that lets you run command line utilities in the windows explorer.
* “NetPing”:http://www.sliver.com/dotnet/netping/. Tells you just about every fact you’d care to know about machines on a local network (hint, Tim!)
* “Key Finder”:http://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder.shtml. Finds the product identification key (PID) for Office and Windows that you used for your machine in case you lost it.
* “SHN Shortener”:http://www.magicaljellybean.com/shnshortener.shtml. This converts lossless SHN and FLAC files to either MP3 or Ogg Vorbis files. Perfect for me since it is a simple converter so you can archive in lossless FLAC and then conver to MP3 or Ogg Vorbis.
