Went to terrific party but was a great reminder of how much i like learning new languages. It is Tết in vietnam and i should at least learn to count and say Happy New Year.

Btw for geeks, wikipedia says The name Tết Nguyên Đán is Sino-Vietnamese for Feast of the First Morning, derived from the Hán nôm characters 節元旦 or jie2 yuan3 dan4
Which means holiday of first day

chúc mừng năm mới means Happy new year.

And finally here is how to count…

Mot – One
Hai – Two
Ba – Three
Bon – Four
Nam – Five
Sau – Six
Bay – Seven
Tam – Eight
Chin – Nine

Muoi – Ten
Muoi mot – Eleven
Muoi hai – Twelve
Muoi ba – Thirteen
Muoi bon – Fourteen
Muoi nam – Fifteen
Muoi sau – Sixteen
Muoi bay – Seventeen
Muoi tam – Eighteen
Muoi chin – Nineteen

Hai muoi – Twenty ………má»™t trăm – one hundred
