- LinkedIn. They had a massive hack of a 25% of all their passwords. Back in 2012, but they are now on sale now.
- Tumbler. Same thing back in 2013 but they didn’t tell us until this month
- Myspace. Another massive breach
- Gawker.
- Boxee.
Those were just the ones I read about recently. As always the advice is:
- Use a password manager like 1Password
- Use a different password for each site
- Make the password long and add symbols
- If you really trust 1Password or for really sensitive ones go full random
