When you live in a spot where the sun comes up at 5AM and sets at 10PM, a good set of blackout curtains begins to look pretty good (that or use eyeshades but they are a little uncomfortable).
So what are some good ones to try, well there are review sites like some unlikely places such as the Huffington Post or  The Today Show, that recommend them, but for instance the SunZero (A rating from Fakespot) comes in a variety of sizes and work with curtain rods that just use a grommet so the simplest kind. They are as cheap as $11 so pretty good for hanging just when you need them particularly if you already have say Venetian blinds, then you just need to mount a pole and you are set.
They seem pretty generic, so Wayfair also has a nice selection.
