Western Digital Warranty Check
Warranty Check for End User. A very useful site, this lets you check to see if your hard drive is eligible for warranty repair. I’ve had about 50% of my Western Digital drives fail me and about half my OCZ memory, so its pretty relevant to know the warranty policy. The latest one to bite…

Seagate 750GB Hard Drive
“Anandtech”:http://www.anandtech.com/storage/showdoc.aspx?i=2760 brings incredibly great news! Seagate just introduced their 7200.10 line and it uses a new technology called perpendicular recording. The net is that you can now get a 750GB hard drive (wow!). I’m actually running out of disk space with all the videos and photos I’ve been editing. Our main server has three 300GB…

Web 2.0 Logins 10 per day
I’m on a campaign to have a logon for every Web 2.0 company coming on line. I sign up for roughly 10 companies or so a week, but it looks like I need to accelerate to keep up, so I’m setting the goal at 10 per day! Major hat tip ot “Techcrunch”:http://techcrunch.com which Jonathan told…

They are small and great at metrokitchens.com
Well, I’ve tried cooking.com (http://cooking.com) and pricegrabber (http://pricegrabber.com) often has cooking things although this is uneven, but my favorite is a “small” business on the internet called Metro Kitchens (http://metrokitchens.com). They are based in Atlanta and are a little store, but they have super high quality merchandise that is really “durable cooking” stuff. We got…

The perfect prep book
It is amazing how many people don’t prepare for interviews at all. In any case, since I’ve probably done one a day for the last literally 15 years (yikes am I that old!) and I’ve also gotten jobs way above my head, I suggest that you pick up this book when you get a chance.…

Sigma Lenses
Bob mentioned to me that Sigma has some good alternative lenses to Canon, the folks at “Lightrules”:http://www.pbase.com/lightrules/lenstests have some reviews of these lenses comparing them with Canon. Interesting results , but as Bob also mentioned, quality control is much nore of a factor with these lenses, so caveat emptor * “Sigma 24-70 F2.8 EX DG”:http://www.pbase.com/lightrules/2470.…
