OK, I have two of these mice. One is the DARK CORE RGB PRO SE, which works fine, but when I tried to pair a DARK CORE PRO (this is the version without but without built-in Qi Charging).
Here is what happens which seems true for a few users this mouse is incompatible with MacOS Ventura. Here is what I tried:
- Reset the mouse. I went through the entire process and figured out the lights and magic buttons, but you need to turn off the mouse with the slider underneath. Then hold the two rearmost side buttons, these are called the forward and back buttons, and power it up. You should see the top light between the scroll wheel and the profile button go solid white.
- Then you force it to Bluetooth pair by turning it off again and then holding down the topmost button called the profile button and then when you power it up, first the power state will go solid color. Solid green means fully charged, yellow means partially, and red means low battery power. Then the light should blink very quickly
- Then go to your Mac and Select System Settings > Bluetooth and you should see DARK CORE PRO appear and hit connect.
- Then after a minute or so it says connected, but then that fades out and it is still down in pairing mode.
- When you look in the console and search for “DARK CORE PRO” you can see a message from bluetoothd that says connected and after 30 seconds it says disconnected. Sigh.
- Interestingly, the mouse itself goes to slow blue on and off which means
The other things I tried were to uninstall the Corsair iCue software with brew uninstall corsair-icue
but this didn’t work and when I plugged the mouse in out a wire I tried to update the firmware, in DARK CORE PRO > Device Settings > Firmware > Check for Updates, it says it is at the latest version 5.0.41. Sigh!
