Pen: 40 year old Parker GTE cartridge ISO-12575-2 G2

Well I discovered in my mom and dad’s stuff a GTE labeled pen. It must be at least 40 years old and I help but want to use it again. But what is the cartridge.

Well a little sleuthing helps. It is ¼ inch in diameter and 3 7/8 inch long. Turns out this is a Parker G2 standard cartridge and is now ISO-12575-2 so you can actual get a new refill for it. Thank goodness for standards.

Looking on review sites, I dearly love the gel pens and has lots of non refillables like the Figma Micro 0.3 I used to take notes.

But it looks like the Uniball Jetstream SXR-600-05 is just $4 each at Amazon The nice 0.38 is $8 at Amazon so I just got the 0.5mm. And this pen is going to rock!
