DVD Digest – Downloads – VOBMerge. Because Videola needs a single VOB files but DVDs for compatibility reasons limit VOBs to 1GB, you have to have a utlity that merges VOBs for you. This one does the trick. Literally, it copies them together.
So the workflow is:
# DVD Decrypter to get the DVD files onto your hard drive
# VOB Merge to take the relevant VOBs and make them a single MPEG2 file
# Videola to turn them into H.264 320×240 if they are pan and scan videos or H.264 320×172 if they are widescreen.
